Success Stories

BSc (Hons) Bioveterinary Science

Zoe Miles

Zoe studied BSc (Hons) Bioveterinary Science and volunteered at the Cotswold Dog Spa.

Taking every opportunity
"I always wanted to be a vet but I wasn’t aware of the alternative career paths. I was offered a session in canine hydrotherapy as part of a study week in my first year and volunteered at the Cotswold Dog Spa while studying for my degree. I secured a job there after graduation."

Why I love my job
"The best bit about my job is seeing the improvements in rehabilitation cases - from young dogs with hip dysplasia progressing from nervous and lame to excited and pain-free, to neurological cases being able to stand without support, having previously been unable to stand or walk.

It’s always rewarding to know that your skills as a hydrotherapist have helped make that possible."
