“I’ve always been interested by animal behaviour and understanding why animals do what they do. My course gave me confidence in my knowledge, helped me build professional networks, and reassured me to push my career forward.

“Before university, my career path was a choice between dance and animals. At the time there wasn’t anything to help me build on that passion for animals, so I followed dance. After becoming unwell, I needed to rethink my future, and I knew I would need something to build and back up my existing knowledge. That’s when animals came back onto the radar, and my interest in Hartpury University came about.

“From the moment I visited Hartpury, it stood out. The facilities were incredible, and what really made the difference was the support on offer. On my open day, I was able to speak to the support team straight away. I will never be able to say how amazing the support was from the Hartpury staff throughout my time there, it was second to none.

“Even as an alumna, Hartpury offers a professional environment to continue networking and creating connections. After graduating in 2020, I started my own business, Barking Buds. We run classes, behaviour consultations, and training programmes for both adults and young people. My time at Hartpury gave me the confidence and foundation to make that happen.”
