As a Hartpury postgraduate teaching assistant, you’ll join our university teaching team to support academic staff for 15 hours each week across all aspects of practice including facilitating group and one-to-one student sessions, teaching and assessment, as well as academic administration duties.

Teaching is a valuable experience for many postgraduate students. As part of the role, we’ll support you to achieve your Advance HE Associate Fellowship status, which is highly regarded across the higher education sector for those who want to progress into lecturing roles.

This opportunity will also broaden your career options - some students enjoy lecturing in their discipline so much that they decide to progress into a teaching career permanently, sometimes even joining our Hartpury teaching team.

As a Hartpury postgraduate research assistant, you’ll contribute to the delivery of our research and knowledge exchange strategy, joining an innovative research team making worthwhile contributions to our industries.

You’ll support the undertaking of high-quality original research and data analysis / interpretation, as well as participating in the writing of reports and peer-reviewed publications.

If you’re passionate about developing your research skills and networks, whilst contributing to your industry beyond your direct qualification, this role could be ideal for you. It’s also ideal preparation for an academic research role or PhD study.
