Save the date for AHC 2027!
This annual conference is aimed at Higher Education students, providing an opportunity to experience writing and submitting an abstract, going through the review and revisions process, through to delivering a theatre presentation to a full conference audience or producing a scientific poster to present.
Once again, we are excited to invite delegates to attend, in person, at the beautiful Hartpury University Campus, Gloucestershire, UK. For the 2027 we are moving to a Saturday! So please put Saturday the 22nd of May 2027 in your diaries now.
Conferences can be an exciting but also a daunting experience regardless of whether you are attending as a viewing delegate or presenting your work to a wider audience. The Alltech-Hartpury Student Conference allows students to present primarily to other students. Student and staff delegates representing colleges and universities from the UK, deliver oral presentations, present scientific poster and deliver lightning poster presentations covering a vast range of topics. In addition, we are lucky to host a range of keynote speakers from both scientific and industry backgrounds to offer their experience, and guidance.
The 16th Alltech-Hartpury Conference especially encourages submissions in the following areas:
· Equine behaviour and welfare
· Equine business management
· Breeding, genetics and stud management
· Equine health and therapy
· Equine nutrition and feeding
· Rider performance
· Equine performance
· Social Licence to Operate in the equine industry
However, all topics of interest to equestrian science and the equine industry will be considered.
Prizes provided by Alltech, our long-standing sponsor, are awarded for the best oral and poster presentations. Abstracts are welcomed from students on any higher education programme, so long as their research relates to the above criteria.
We will open of abstract submission for the 2027 Conference in January 2027, so please keep an eye on this page!
Tickets will be available to purchase via our online shop from January 2027. Group discounts will also be available on purchases of 9 or more tickets.
