Sky DeVries moved to the UK from Portugal to pursue an interest in business, combined with a passion for horses.

Hartpury College’s Level 3 Extended Diploma Equine Management enables students to focus on management aspects of the equine industry, providing a comprehensive foundation in core skills, without riding requirements. Many students progress onto university level study, or professional roles in and outside of the equine sector.

Sky explains: 

"I had no idea I could combine my passion for horses with academic studies at college. Moving to the UK to study a blend of equine with management has been especially great as it’s allowed me to set a foundation in my knowledge, which I’d like to pursue in future studies, get involved in the Equine Academy, and learn about the equine world on a deeper level. I’ve made great friends and had the freedom to get involved in a variety of things outside of my studies, including training and competing internationally in Dressage as part of Hartpury’s Equine Academy. Hartpury has helped me to develop my social skills and taught me a lot about balancing social life with academic achievement, all while preparing me for the future."
