Mollie's Hartpury Experience
"When it came to choosing a college I knew Hartpury would be the place that would enable me to combine my two passions – animals and athletics. Where else would you be able to handle meerkats in your lectures, just after your morning gym session?
The multi-sport academy offered the kind of support you would find in a professional sporting environment which paired with the excellent academic facilities enabled me to get a stellar education while competing at the top level.
Being at Hartpury was simply the best two years of my life and I loved everything about it. The lecturers were fantastic at supporting me throughout my course, Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, which enabled me to balance studying with training every day."
Developing Industry Connections
"I left Hartpury with top grades in my studies and will be going on to study animal biology at university. The same year at the England Championships I produced a personal best in the 100 metres hurdles which left me ranked number one in the UK in my age group and fifth of all time in the records."
One of the highlights for me during my time at college was representing Great Britain at the World Junior Championships. Now I’m aiming to qualify for the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia and after that Tokyo 2020 is on the horizon. My time at Hartpury has been invaluable and helped me realise that I can aim high and do."
