Complete work experience in your first year to be part of a real-life sports environment and grow your network of contacts. Your modules could include Functional Anatomy, Applied Psychology, Sport and Exercise Physiology, Research Methods, and Sports Massage.
GCSE | 6 GCSEs at grade 4 or above to include Mathematics, English Language and a Science.
Modules will include:
• Sport and Exercise Physiology
• Functional Anatomy
• Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology
• Nutrition
• Field and Lab Based Fitness Testing
You will be able to utilise the extensive range of facilities that are available here including sports laboratories, the Sports Academy Centre and the therapy suite.
Industry experience
Completing some work experience during your first and second years will allow you to:
• Gain first-hand experience of the industry
• Benefit from invaluable networking opportunities and contacts
You’ll also gain applied experience opportunities through the use of our human performance laboratory and therapy suite.
Career and education opportunities
You’ll have the opportunity to enter employment in the sport and active leisure sector or progress to university to study Sports Science or Sports Therapy related programmes.
